Marc Merklin is Chair of the Business Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Practice Group of Brouse McDowell. He focuses on general business counseling, commercial law and business reorganizations.
He represents creditors, debtors, committees and trustees in Chapter 11 reorganizations, as well as borrowers in loan transactions and bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Marc also works on the sale and acquisition of financially distressed companies.
Marc was named as a Fellow in the 30th Class of the American College of Bankruptcy, a prestigious recognition for those who have exhibited professional excellence and have made substantial contributions to the bankruptcy and insolvency practice.

Brouse McDowell has extensive experience in dealing with issues arising under the Bankruptcy Code and state receivership statutes, as well as a variety of issues arising under the Uniform Commercial Code, including sales of goods, leases, checks and negotiable instruments, loan transactions, letters of credit, and security interests and liens. Several of our attorneys also practice in the area of banking/finance.
